A more compact and easy to carry version of the timeless Hudson Bay Camp Axe, the Camp Hatchet is perfectly packable. Coming in at just over a foot in length and under 1.25 pounds, the Camp Hatchet is still a capable chopping tool for light limbing, splitting kindling, and sharpening and hammering tent stakes. At camp or on the trail the Camp Hatchet is a versatile tool with an innovative head design with secure bolt clamp attachment and field expedient handle replacement.

Head: The near inch thick head is made from durable 1055 carbon steel with a thin profile for fast, efficient chopping and a deep bite. The handle runs through the eye in the traditional fashion while the innovative bolt clamp pole delivers a very secure fit and fast replacement with the bolts being easily loosened with a single Allen wrench. The pole can also be used for hammering wood or plastic stakes or wedges for splitting larger pieces than the hatchet can handle.

Handle: Made from genuine straight grain hickory, the handle is relatively straight with a generous shoulder for a comfortable close grip for fine work while being fast in the hand chopping. The knob is angled for optimal leverage and control. Comes with a simple, rubber edge cover.

Over the years our Pendleton Hunters have become enormously popular, many have asked us for a more affordable Pendleton that will accommodate just about anyone's budget.

In appearance it strongly resembles the rest of the family with a drop point blade, modest guard, hollowed bolster area and a flared butt to aid retention. The only major changes were the adoption of more affordable 4116 Krupp steel and the use of polypropylene instead of Kraton for the handle.

In our testing it got straight A's in the field as it is equally adept at field dressing and skinning, held a decent edge, was easy to sharpen, and proved to be tough as nails.

Are you a brute and your untamed chopping power broke your CRKT® Berserker™ handle? No problem. We have the replacement handle for your CRKT® T-hawk right here. This Tennessee hickory handle is the replacement handle for the Beserker™, Woods Chogan™ T-Hawk, Woods Nobo™ T-Hawk and the Woods Kangee™ T-hawk. To replace the handle, remove the old handle by carefully placing the butt of the old handle on the ground and tapping the head of the T-Hawk with a mallet until it slides down. To put the new handle on, slide the head onto the handle from the tapered end until it is seated on the thicker end of the handle. Next, hold the handle of the T-Hawk with the head down and hit the ground or a hard surface sharply several times to seat the head onto the handle. Changes in humidity may cause the head to become loose so be sure to check before use.
